Commissioning Technician 
Excellent client in Midland, TX is looking for a commissioning technician to be responsible for overseeing and managing startup for biogas treating facilities, including all necessary paperwork, project schedules, and performance testing. 
This position will require up to 70% travel. Candidates do not have to be in the Permian Basin currently to be considered.
Requirements: 5 Years of Relevant Gas Processing Experience High School Diploma 
Essential Job Functions: Pre-Commissioning Planning Coordinate pre-startup responsibilities with customer • Set clear expectations for customer support • Have a full understanding of Morrow’s Responsibilities under contracts • Build or review the spare parts list well in advance of the startup • Conduct handoff with the ME Engineering Design team to get context on the project. 
Coordinate 3rd party startup support 
Build schedules for startup • Develop commissioning procedures for each unit to simplify the onsite effort • Morrow employees on-site startup support • Work with managers to ensure no interruptions to normal Morrow Plant Operations • Rotate people through to avoid over-exertion. 
Budget • Expected spend on travel/accommodations • Expected warranty/spare parts spend 
Build Training Materials 
Commissioning Lead commissioning effort with an emphasis on safety • Give operators a presentation on safety at beginning of the job • Lead daily tailgate meetings with Morrow and 3rd party employees. 
Coordinate all onsite operations • Review schedule and set daily goals to ensure overall targets are met • Understand critical path items and prioritize to ensure they are addressed first • Document startup progress to ensure all required tasks are completed and minimize double work and avoid missing items. 
Communicate with Supervisor and Customer • Daily communication is required with Supervisor and ME office to review progress and discuss issues. • Daily communication with Customers to make sure they are aware of progress and discuss needs. 
Training • Set aside time to train operators using pre-built materials and on-site discussions 
Post-Commissioning operations support • Maintain list of issues at customer facilities and delegate responsibilities for fixing the issues that are our responsibility (to engineering, drafting, procurement, etc.) • Check in on operating facilities once a quarter (via phone call) • Make visits to sites when necessary • Incorporate lessons learned from customer experience into future training and future plant designs. • Other duties as assigned 
Necessary Abilities & Requirements: • Work is performed indoors and outdoors. • Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs. • Must be able to communicate professionally via email and cellphone; basic computer experience. • Extensive visual and auditory observation during work. Write and read job-related notes via email, etc. • Ability to work long shifts. (12-Hr when in the field) • Knowledge of occupational hazards and necessary safety precautions • Ability to multi-task and accomplish tasks despite interruptions. • Ability to create and maintain accurate, timely, and complete records and reports. • Must have reliable transportation to and from work. • Ability to read and write English. • Possess strong problem-solving skills • Communication, influencing, negotiating, and assertiveness. • Decision making, sound business judgment. • Extensive driving and traveling required, up to 70% travel.
