Job Description:BuyerUnder the direction of the Procurement Lead, coordinate, document, and consolidate the complete allocated purchasing scope for assigned plant projects, stock material, and equipment; ensure all allocated items required for assigned projects are procured within budget and schedule constraints;follow-up with vendors to obtain delivery updates; track and communicate relevant item procurement progress to stakeholders. Ensure all required items are procured within budget and schedule constraints. Job Duties:
  • Request quotes for materials as requested by Engineering, and Drafting departments
  • Create and submit purchase orders on approved quotes for required materials
  • Maintain Heads and Shells Stock Inventory
  • Collect, and document all quotes, purchase orders, and estimated time of material delivery using the Project Materials List, and Atlas.
  • Communicate procurement of, and delivery times of materials to appropriate department using Atlas, and email.
  • Assist Shop in Structural and Plate inventory.
  • Manage consumables cage
  • Create, and submit purchase orders for requested materials/services for stock materials/services for stock material, tools, consumables,
  • Follow-up with vendors to determine current progress of materials purchased.
  • Collect, and document all quotes, purchase orders, and estimated time of material delivery using Atlas, and email.
  • Correct invalid job codes and GL numbers on purchase orders in Global Shop.
  • Correct prices on purchase orders for accounting department.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office products
  • Experience with buying for engineered equipment
  • Outstanding organization and problem-solving skills
