Construction Operator
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery to support construction projects, ensuring safe and efficient site operations. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of construction site procedures, mechanical systems, and equipment operation, contributing to the successful completion of projects on time and within safety standards. This position offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team dedicated to excellence in construction.
Duties but not limited to:
  • Operate heavy equipment such as Excavators, Roller’s, Water Trucks, Skid Steers, Backhoes, performing different tasks such as preparing pad sites and driveways for foundations for commercial building sites. Tasks would but not limited to; earthmoving, grading, lifting, and material transportation tasks to name a few. 
  • Safely handle specialized machinery including water trucks, roller’s, excavators, skid steers, backhoes and blades
  • Assisting with site preparation activities by leveling ground and excavating for foundations or utilities.
  • Maintaining equipment by conducting routine inspections and reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
  • Following all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure work environment for yourself and team members.
  • Coordinating with project managers and crew members to execute tasks efficiently and meet project deadlines.
  • Supporting the setup and breakdown of construction sites by moving materials and equipment as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Must have reliable transportation and willing to travel
  • Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment with a minimum of 2 yrs experience
  • Mechanical knowledge is sufficient to perform basic maintenance checks and troubleshoot minor issues.
  • Valid driver’s license and Clean MVR record.
  • Operators Certification is preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with construction site safety standards and practices
  • Ability to operate various machinery including but not limited to: Excavators, Roller’s, Water Trucks, Skid Steer’s, Backhoes and Blades
  • Knowledge of construction materials such as concrete mixers and farm machinery is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

He also loves working in the yard and watching the plants he’s groomed grow, bloom and become something beautiful. He enjoys playing with his two Sphynx Cats, Cinnamon and Gnocchi and his dogs, Clover and Mulligan.
