Level II Pipe Inspector
Job Duties:
  • Perform a full range of inspections of pipeline facilities to ensure compliance with standards using Field Evaluation forms. 
  • Conduct various Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods, such as Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Magnetic Particle Testing (MT). 
  • Set up, calibrate, and operate specialized equipment like odor meters, multimeters, X-ray, and ultrasonic devices. 
  • Interpret and evaluate inspection results, document findings, and generate reports. 
  • Follow applicable regulations, guidelines, and professional standards to assess compliance and conduct pipeline safety evaluations. 
  • Identify and present the causes of pipeline faults and document assessments and generate incident reports for faulty or defective pipelines. 
  • Oversee pipeline construction, reviewing welding procedures and material use for compliance. 
  • Maintain accurate records of pipeline inspections and repairs. 
  • Analyze data to identify trends and potential problems. 
  • Provide training and oversight for Level I technicians.
Qualifications:
Certification: EMI-Electro Magnetic Inspection, MPI- Magnetic Particle Inspection, VTI - Visual Thread Inspection
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with tubular inspection methods of drill pipe. 
Knowledge: Familiar with codes, standards, and contractual documents related to NDT techniques. 
Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. 
Education: High school diploma or equivalent work-related experience. 
Safety Knowledge: Adhere to and enforce safety policies.
