Job Description

­Client in Midland is needing: 
Meat Room 

Applicant will be working with raw meat in the meat processing area. May be crossed trained in different areas of the department depending on where help is needed.
* Hand Cutting skirt meat into fajita strips using electric wizard knives, cutting gloves will be provided.
* Running meat grinding machine or patty machine.
* Weighing, packaging, boxing up product.
* Must be able to lift up to 60lbs safely.
* Will be working in a cold environment, with repetitive movements. May not be a good fit for someone that has arthritis or carpal tunnel or just hand issues in general. Hands will get cold. Temps stays around 40 degrees.
* Must be ok with working with raw meat and the elements that come with it. (Smell, blood)
* Will be standing in one area for long periods at a time.

Requirements:
* Start time for the first day is 9:30 am
* Need someone reliable and wanting to stay long term.
* Must always wear a mask in the building.
* All languages are accepted.
* No jewelry allowed. Earrings, watches, bracelets, necklaces, rings, no piercings that cannot be removed. No earbuds or chewing gum. Can’t chance anything falling off into the product or getting caught in the machines.
* Do not wear boots into the building due to contamination. Must be wearing regular shoes, slides, sandals and will change into the boots.
* No big backpacks allowed. They can bring regular lunch bags and/or purses.
* Cell phones must be kept either in the locker or cars until breaks.
* Dress Code: Leggings, hoodies, beanies, sweats, capris are allowed, just no shorts or tank tops allowed. Butcher coat will be provided to help protect clothing. Non-slip rubber boots are required while working, regular shoes/slides will be worn on breaks or when in the warehouse.
