Is seeking a
Sandblaster/Yard Hand
Job duties:
  • Operate sandblasting equipment to remove dirt, grease, rust, and old paint from industrial equipment and surfaces.
  • Ensure that all surfaces are properly prepared and cleaned before applying new coatings or paint.
  • Monitor and adjust the pressure and flow of abrasive materials to ensure proper blasting of surfaces.
  • Follow safety procedures and protocols to protect themselves and other workers from potential hazards.
  • Inspect and maintain sandblasting equipment and tools to ensure proper functioning and prevent breakdowns.
  • Communicate with supervisors and other workers to coordinate the schedule and assignment of sandblasting tasks.
  • Document and report any issues or incidents related to sandblasting operations to supervisors or management.
  • Any other tasks assigned by supervisor/upper management
Requirements:
  • Physical endurance and strength to handle sandblasting equipment and materials for extended periods of time
  • Ability to carry up to 50 pounds 
  • Bending, stooping, standing for long periods of time, and climbing
  • 2 plus years’ experience preferred with painting equipment and sandblast equipment. 
  • Ability to mix and prepare paint following painter directions, clean and maintain paint and blast equipment 
  • Able to operate forklift and man lift 
  • Ability to use forklift and man lift, work at heights 
  • High level of safety awareness
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to sandblasting operations
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Flexibility to work in different environments and locations, including confined spaces and heights

He’s a numbers person, so stats, kpo’s and financial evaluation give him that warm and fuzzy feeling… most of the time. Christopher studied business at University of Texas of the Permian Basin.

In his spare time, Christopher likes to remodel houses, exercise, and read murder mysteries. He also loves working in the yard and watching the plants he’s groomed grow, bloom and become something beautiful. He enjoys playing with his two Sphynx Cats, Cinnamon and Gnocchi and his dogs, Clover and Mulligan.
