Excellent client in Midland, Tx is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to start ASAP.
Summary:
Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment.
Job Description:
- Compare identifying information and count, weigh, or measure items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
- Record receipt of incoming materials and equipment.
- Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record and report shortages and discrepancies, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
- Route checked incoming materials, supplies, or equipment to the stockroom, appropriate departments, or other areas.
- Prepare downhole equipment to include installation of BOH’s, couplings and intakes for shipping.
- Verify serial numbers and process outbound shipping documents and inbound receivers for downhole equipment going to or coming from a well.
- Assemble shipping containers or select pre-assembled containers, and insert items to be shipped into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding.
- Close and seal packages to be shipped.
- Affix shipping labels; identify information, and shipping instructions onto packed cartons or containers.
- Post weights and shipping charges, and affix postage.
- Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
- Prepare bill of lading and maintain documentation of goods shipped.
- Upload all shipping documentation into SharePoint QTC.
- May operate tier-lift truck or use hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work areas.
- May perform only shipping or receiving activities, receive damaged or defective goods returned to establishment, or receive unsold products returned and be designated accordingly.
- Personally observe safety and security procedures and proper use of equipment and material. Actively promote safety process and report any safety issues to proper channels for action.

Qualifications:
- Proficient computer skills with knowledge of MS Office and/or company specific databases.
- Experience in oilfield service environment a plus
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
- Ability to operate a forklift while loading or unloading freight
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 1+ years of inventory warehouse experience preferred.
