Now Hiring: Tank Mechanic
Location: Odessa, Texas
The Tank Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, repairing, testing, and refurbishing ISO tanks and related equipment while following company safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and install parts on ISO tanks according to work orders and engineering drawings.
- Repair tanks based on inspection and off-lease estimates.
- Perform periodic testing and inspections of ISO tanks.
- Conduct general maintenance on tanks, chassis, and shop equipment.
- Work with third-party inspectors during tank inspections and certifications.
- Operate heavy equipment, including forklifts and yard mules, to move ISO containers.
- Use hand and power tools such as impact drivers, angle grinders, wrenches, ratchets, and hammers.
- Perform welding, fabrication, and repair work on tanks and chassis, or be willing to learn welding skills.
Required Skills
- Mechanical aptitude and repair experience.
- Safe operation of forklifts and industrial equipment.
- Ability to read work orders and technical drawings.
- Welding and fabrication skills (or willingness to learn).
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical labor.
- Comfortable working at heights greater than 8 feet.
- Ability to climb, bend, stoop, lift, and handle tools and equipment.
