Wellbore Monitoring and Field Technician
OVERVIEW
A national leader in the Oil & Gas industry is seeking experienced Wellbore Monitoring and Field Technicians. Technicians will conduct emissions measurements from abandoned wells and assist in sealing these wells using nano-modified polymer sealants across the Permian Basin in New Mexico and Texas. Responsibilities include operating emission monitoring systems, collecting site data, and generating detailed reports. The role also involves managing inventory at the Hobbs, NM facility and ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
This position will be in the area surrounding Portales, NM, requiring technicians to travel at least five days a week. Field techs will pick up trucks and equipment from either Hobbs, NM, or Albuquerque, NM, and travel to the location. Housing and per diem will be provided while on duty.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with Albuquerque technical team in pre-job planning to determine timing and site order, product quantities, and application procedure to meet Client needs.
- Lead and coordinate plans and work with other onsite field support staff
- Ensure safe field operations
- Organize workflow and ensure that field support staff understand their duties.
- Maintain records of onsite operation details, volumes, and application of client products.
- Manage product inventory and field supplies at the Hobbs facility
- Ensure safe handling and storage of client equipment and materials
- Comply with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations
- Maintain confidentiality of all operational details, client information, and proprietary data encountered during assignments.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma: An associate degree will be considered an advantage
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills
- Previous field experience in the environmental, geologic, geothermal, or oil and gas industries required
- Sound knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety practices
- Proven ability to understand and strictly adhere to standard operating procedures and safety standards
- Excellent customer service skills
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMAND

- Must be able to operate company vehicles and equipment physically and legally
- Employees must be able to perform work that requires standing, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, and heavy lifting.
COMPUTER
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
- Must complete all required pre-employment screenings, including background and drug screening.
- Must have a satisfactory driver record with no DWI/DUI convictions in the past 3 years or any current DWI/DUI charges.
