Midland Client is seeking a part-time Salesperson.
Job Description:
As a Salesperson, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional shopping experience to our customers. You will be responsible for engaging with customers and assisting them in finding the perfect piece of jewelry and ensuring a knowledgeable and welcoming atmosphere in our store.
Primary Job Duties:
- Customer Engagement: Greet customers warmly and ascertain their specific needs to provide tailored assistance.
- Sales Knowledge: Maintain a thorough understanding of current sales promotions, store policies regarding payments and exchanges, and security protocols.
- Arithmetic Skills: Accurately compute sales prices, total purchases, and process cash or credit payments.
- Security Loss Prevention Awareness: Identify potential security risks and theft and know how to prevent or handle such situations appropriately.
- Product Recommendation: Recommend, select, and assist customers in locating or obtaining merchandise based on their preferences.
- Customer Questions: Answer inquiries regarding the store, merchandise, and product features.
- Merchandise Description: Clearly describe product attributes and guide the use, operation, and care of items.
- Visual Merchandising: Ticket, arrange, and display merchandise attractively to promote sales.
- Demonstration: Demonstrate the use and operation of merchandise to enhance customer understanding.
- Point of Sale: Working knowledge or ability to learn the Point of Sale System
- Store Maintenance: Clean and organize shelves, counters, and tables to maintain a welcoming store environment.
- Inventory Management: Conduct inventory counts and requisition new stock as needed to maintain product selection.
Qualifications:
- Customer Service Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for helping customers.
- Arithmetic Proficiency: Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations accurately.
- Sales Experience: Previous sales floor experience is preferred; however, training will be provided for the right individual.
- Self-Starter: Motivated, outgoing individual who takes initiative and thrives in a team environment.
- Communication Skills: Must be able to speak and read English fluently to effectively communicate with customers.
- Merchandising Skills: Experience with online and storefront merchandising is a plus.
